With its low-dose, high quality and advanced mammographic imaging procedure, the Planmed Sophie Mobile is an excellent unit both for base line screening and fully diagnostic procedures, with integrated magnification and add-on computerized stereotactics.

The Planmed Sophie Classic Mobile System takes transportable mammography to a new level. Generously equipped with integrated features and the latest imaging technology, the system is excellent for both base-line screening and detailed diagnostic procedures. 
The new modular design provides an accessible path to expand the system further when the need arises with versatile options such as digital stereotactics or the MaxView Positioning System.

The comprehensive operation can be further enhanced with an optional integrated battery system. Battery packed operation provides greater flexibility and ensures consistent image quality in remote areas with limited power resources.

Modular system architecture allows the system configuration to be easily expanded with several optional accessories such as magnification and needle localization kits, network ID cameras, Twincomp compression and stereotactics. A single magnification stand offers 1.6x and 1.8x magnification factors. The magnification stand is light, rigid and easy to attach, The large positioning area provides patient comfort and ample space for better positioning. Thanks to automatic cassette loading and uploading, the cassette handling is ergonimic and technologist-friendly.

Apart from being truly mobile, the Planmed Sophie Classic Mobile stands out from other mammography units with its integrated and extremely compact high-frequency generator. The dual power generator has established a considerable degree of technical superiority with imaging power that is truly constant and efficient. 

Image quality is never compromised with its full-featured technology and excellent perfomance. The ripple-free ouput improves contrast, shortens exposure times, reduces glandular dose, eliminates retakes and extends the life span of the x-ray tube.

Planmed started delivering the Planmed Sophie Classic mammography unit in 1996 and in 1998 the product line was completed with the acclaimed Twincomp compression system.
